I visited the Hare & Hounds at Fifield for the first time since it changed ownership at the weekend, and was surprised to find an excellent Thai restaurant hiding inside. I have eaten at most (if not all!) of the Thai restaurants in a twenty mile radius, and the meal I had in Fifield gave them all a run for their money. The lunchtime menu includes delicious, filling, traditional Thai dishes (including everyone's favourite Thai Curries) for around £5.00. The evening menu looks equally inviting, still with very good value for money. The pleasant restaurant area is in the conservatory, which has been newly decorated in theme.

The pub still does traditional 'pub grub' as well, and the barman seems to care about the quality of beer he's serving. Thoroughly recommended!
