An uninspiring location on the busy A4 road. Maidenhead's gay pub. Phoenix Inns took it over in late 1998. In April 1999 they wanted to sell it and the locals were anxious their well known meeting area would be transformed. Open evenings only from 5 pm Monday-Saturday. Sunday 3 pm - 10.30 pm. Tuesday night is quiz night. Entertainment on Friday and Saturday when it's open until 12.30 am. Pool table & juke box. Landlady is Sarah Ing. The building is grade two listed, meaning structural changes are limited. Closed in early 2001. The building still stands though (in April 2001). |
