Windsor, with its historical castle and pretty river front, is just 10 minutes drive from Maidenhead and is well worth a visit. This shot shows the Windsor Castle at the end of The Long Walk, a straight path leading through Windsor Great Park.

Windsor Castle was the setting for the wedding of Prince Edward (the Queen's youngest son) and Sophie Rhys-Jones on Saturday 19th June 1999. The ceremony was in St George's Chapel, inside Windsor Castle, just a few miles from Maidenhead. Afterwards the happy couple were taken for a short ride around the streets of Windsor in a horse-drawn carriage.

This is the other end of The Long Walk, leading to a large statue of a horse and rider, known as the Copper Horse.
