Puccinos is a rapidly-growing franchise operation, with a distinctive modern minimalist style of decoration. Half restaurant, half coffee bar, this licenced eatery was opened in March 2001, and is decorated with bold but odd line drawings on the walls. Some are amusing, some will go over your head. There's also a timeline showing the life of one Mr Puccino. Seating for around 70, mostly on metal chairs and tables, but there are some sofas towards the back. Table service is friendly and quick, and the cakes on offer are very tempting. Banoffi pie comes in at £2.85 and hot chocolate (with a cream topping) at £1.90. Located at the western end of the High Street. Open for coffees, lunch and dinner. Puccinos started in around 1996 with one restaurant, they now own 60 (in 2001) - an impressive growth. We noted the lack of high chairs when this review was first published. Puccinos themselves corrected us, writing on 29 April 2001: Great to see "us" on your site (Puccino's), and thank you for the positive welcome and review. I would like to mention that high chairs have been added one week after opening and that we very much welcome mums and their little ones any time of the day. Thank you. Delicous food ,good for young familys, quality food, i take my hat off to the chef. lightening FAST!!!!!!! food. there is always a friendly calm atmosphere in puccinos and its very good value for money. would stronly advise, a credit to maidenheads restaurants and bar!
