This beautiful hotel is an ideal place for drinks to impress your guests. It is situated on the main A308 Maidenhead to Windsor road, about 2 miles from Maidenhead, on the left. The grounds sweep away from the road and incorporate a walled garden and tennis courts. The hotel's main attraction is the wide river frontage, giving a sweeping view of the Thames. The large gardens are mainly lawn with weeping willow trees and tables and chairs in the summer. Moorings are available for waterborne customers. Inside, there are armchairs and settees in a comfy lounge and a piano in the bar area. The hotel includes a small swimming pool and two restaurants. Expect to pay double the normal pub rate for drinks served to you in the lounge. Half a bitter and a vodka and orange set us back £7.05 in July 1998. The hotel itself has been used as a backdrop for a number of films, most notably The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
