Brick archways and wooden panelled walls are the order of the day at this Italian restaurant just off the High Street in Maidenhead. Plenty of waiting staff to serve your well presented food. Not cheap though. Large selection of starters from £4.80 (the avocado starter was described as "yummy" by one taster), sirloin steak main at £10.90, seafood spaghetti £7.80. Budget for vegetables at £3.00 per portion and a cover charge of £0.85 per person. Italian classical music accompanies your meal and a candle (lit, if you ask). An usual selection of bottled beers too and some tasty desserts at £3.00.

I would like to say Thank You to Pino, for bringing the finest Italian food I have ever eaten to Maidenhead. I ate here for the first time in August of 1999 and about every month thereafter until I left Maidenhead in September 2000. I even enjoyed my 25th birthday with friends here. The food was outstanding, the service was great, and the ambiance of the small restaurant was perfect. In America, Italian restaurants are as common as banks and petrol shops. However, I have yet to eat at a place as fine as Mondello's.
