This pub was refurbished and renamed The Lemon Tree in 2002. In 2010 it was refurbished and re-named back to its original name, The Golden Ball. Many years ago Barnett and Emma Bowgett ran the pub up until about 1909.

The pub now offers home made food, specials boards, Sunday roasts, children's menu, real ales, outdoor seating areas and dogs are welcome.

Lunch is served from 12pm to 3pm Monday to Saturday and the menu includes baguettes, sandwiches, sourdough rolls and ploughman's lunches.

Evening meal options include soup and breaded mushrooms to start, followed by pork chop, ham egg and chips, beef and ale pie or beer battered fish and chips.

Kids can choose from fish and chips, chicken and chips and can swap the chips for healthier options.
