A Whitbread pub, implying Heineken, Stella, Best and Boddington's Gold are available amongst others. Two distinct bars - the lounge bar has panelled walls upon which hang views of Cookham (just down the road) and awards for food (though the food wasn't being pushed elsewhere in the pub). In the larger 'games bar' there are two gambling machines, two pool tables, games machines and loud music. Suburban setting at a road junction with a poor garden. Nothing special. These details may now be incorrect as in March 1998 it was refurbished with more emphasis on food (this is typical Whitbread strategy).
