Friendly (if erratic) service at this sandwich bar towards the end of the High Street. Consistently good food. Hot food too, the all day breakfasts are excellent, if rather naughty. Popular at lunchtime and at the weekend. Eat in or take-out. Sandwiches from around £2, cheese omelette £3.60, tuna mayonnaise jacket potato £4.95. Open 8am - 3pm Monday-Friday and 10am - 3.30pm Saturday. Children's menu and high chairs. An odd move of location in about 2002, basically across the road, meant that the ambiance and rustic charm of their original odd-shaped premises was lost, giving way to a more clinical look. Still a worthy recommendation though. |
