"Country pub and eating house." This pub had new owners, Mike and Andrea Mortimer, in October 1997. They closed it for two months for a £150,000 refurbishment. It re-opened in early December 1997 with an interior which is based on what it would have been like originally. The pub has a separate restaurant. Unfortunately the kitchen was destroyed by fire just before Christmas 1997 and the restaurant was shut until the re-opening on 13th February 1998. Juliette writes on 28 September 2000: Visited Bel & the Dragon for dinner - loved the food and the service was great |
